At Firefly Grove, our Green Care practices include social horticulture, care farming, animal-assisted activities, and nature-inspired arts, creating gentle pathways to connection, growth, and renewal. We invite individuals to experience the restorative power of nature firsthand.

These interactions can ease stress, reduce loneliness, and foster a sense of calm and belonging, nurturing well-being in a natural, comforting way.
Growth through hands-on connection with the earth
Our Care Farming program offers individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities a space to learn, grow, and engage with the land. Participants develop essential skills, build confidence, & cultivate a sense of independence - all while reconnecting with nature, animals, and their abilities.

fostering inclusion
After demonstrating the core proficiencies of care farming, participants may become eligible for paid work on the farm, applying their skills in a supportive community. This opportunity encourages personal growth and empowers individuals to take on new roles within Firefly Grove.
